Our wines, mostly Verdejo varietal, are leaders within white wine consumption in Spain. They also have a major influence in foreign markets and are available in more than fifty countries such as Japan, China, the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, or Mexico.
At present, Cuatro Rayas boasts about having modern facilities located in two wineries in the cradle of Verdejo, La Seca. The winery has been certified to the British Retail Consulting and IFS quality standards, essential for commercialisation in the European markets. These certifications confirm our keen interest to achieve excellent quality in every stage of the development of our products.

Bodega Cuatro Rayas gathers vineyards from more than 300 winegrower members disseminated through almost 30 villages in the provinces of Valladolid and Segovia; a patchwork of plots, municipalities, and vineyard terrains that allow us to make a fairly comprehensive journey through the range and richness of soils and hillsides in our surrounding land. More than 2,400 vineyard hectares of different varieties—mainly Verdejo, but also Sauvignon Blanc, Viura, Palomino Fino, and Tempranillo—carefully controlled by the Technical Department of the winery over their entire vegetative cycle to get the best quality when the harvest comes. Among our plots, we have a small portion of mostly pre-phylloxera and goblet-trained century-old vineyards; an area with a lower production level, which is manually harvested, and, with those exquisite grapes, we produce our most exclusive wines, such Cuatro Rayas Viñedos Centenarios, the Cuarenta Vendimias range, or Amador Diez.
FOUNDATION OF THE ‘WINERY COOPERATIVA DE LA SECA ‘’
In a Spain immersed in the uncertainty of a political instability that would lead to a Civil War just a year later, the wine-growing families that had their vineyards in the surroundings of the small Valladolid town of La Seca.
Just 3 years later, the partners decided to take the wine to the winery for the first time and put it in large vats.
SIGNATURE OF THE STATUTES OF ‘AGRÍCOLA CASTELLANA’
Less than a decade after its foundation, the cooperative changes its name to ‘Agrícola Castellana’ and defines its purposes and the responsibilities of the members of its Governing Board.
FIRST COMMERCIAL BRAND ‘FINO 61’
The 1950s saw the birth of the first commercial brand of the cooperative winery. Under the name 'Fino 61' it is bottled and put on the market solera wine, the traditional production of the area.nal de la zona.
THE 'PAGO OF CUATRO RAYAS'
The current name of our winery is due to a payment on which in the decades of the '50s and' 60s it was said that the best vineyards of the cooperative were found.
CÉSAR PRIETO JOINS AS MANAGING DIRECTOR ’
The 1970s witness the professionalization and modernization of the winery, which incorporates César Prieto at the head of the management tasks.
