Variety: Tempranillo

Elaboration: Daytime manual harvest. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. Maceration: 18 days (with daily delestages and pump-overs). Fermentation at 28ºC for approximately ten or twelve days. Aged for four months in French and American oak barrels.



The first Ribera from Bodega Cuatro Rayas

It was the first, which makes it special, at least for us, that we pamper and raise our wines as if they were children. And with this, precisely, we can say that we did a good job.

After spending 5 months in French oak and American oak barrels and as many rest in the bottle in the winery, Cuatro Rayas Ribera del Duero has been able to transmit the essence of a piece of this land, clearly defined by its terroir. The result is an intense cherry red oak tempranillo, middle layer and garnet rims. On the nose it is powerful and balanced, with aromas of ripe fruit, roasted, vanilla and spices. On the palate it has a velvety, smooth and persistent mid palate, revealing the characteristic elegance of the best Ribera del Duero reds.
