Organic Wines, Great Rueda Wines and inter-cooperative projects selected by the winemaker Elena M. Oyagüe recently received up to fifteen new recognitions in their list of triumphs after being submitted to international competitions

La Seca (Valladolid). – Immersed in the winemaking tasks of the new 2021 vintage after finishing the harvesting campaign a few weeks ago, the cooperative Bodega Cuatro Rayas receives a significant amount of recognitions after participating in several international competitions—‘Berliner Wine Trophy Summer 2021’ (Germany), ‘Seléctions Mondiales des Vins Canada 2021’ (Canada), ‘Internationaler Bioweinpreis Herbst 2021’ (Germany), ‘Global Wine’ (Mexico) and ‘Premios Zarcillo 2021’ (Spain).
A total of ten brands from the winery located in La Seca (Valladolid) have recently added up to fifteen new awards to Cuatro Rayas’ list of triumphs, thus proving the exceptional quality of this cooperative wines again, under the technical supervision of the winemaker Elena M. Oyagüe, who has over 20 years of experience at this winery in the DO Rueda. The awards received include the Gold medals Cuarenta Vendimias Cuvée 2020 received, vintage that came recently to the market under the category Gran vino de Rueda (Great Rueda Wine)—a unique label in this Designation of Origin reserved for wines with a limited production, selected quality and gastronomic-oriented. Likewise, the wines produced using organic vineyards and organic farming had a prominent role, such as Green & Social Verdejo 2020, also worthy of two new Gold medals, the exclusive Verdejo for ageing Amador Diez Verdejo Cuvée 2015, or the DO Rioja and DO Ribera del Duero red wines in the Cuarenta Vendimias range—Oyagüe’s extraordinary selections and the result of the inter-cooperative project development with wineries in those regions.
