We have a new recipe! We are back with Cuatro Rayas Cookbook to show you several dishes that can help you be the master of your kitchen. Today we were thinking which dish would pair perfectly with our Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias. There are numerous options, but we wanted to add an exotic touch preparing a serving of sushi. We can assure you that the result is spectacular.
What ingredients do you need?
- At least 500 grams of short-grain rice
- 100 centilitres of rice vinegar
- 70 grams of sugar
- 100 grams of fresh tuna and salmon
- Nori seaweed
- Soy sauce
- 60 grams of avocado
First thing you must do is wash the rice properly, to remove the starch, and cook it.
You will repeat the process until the water runs completely clear.
Then spread the cooked rice on a tray and season it with sushi-zu—a mix of rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Seasoning it properly is vital to make quality sushi.
Let the rice rest and cool down before spreading it on our nori seaweed.
Meanwhile, you can slice thickly the tuna, salmon and avocado.
Once you have it, line the slices up over the rice, trying to form a uniform row.
Lastly, all you need to do is roll the sushi. The easiest way is by using a bamboo mat. Making sushi seems difficult but trust us when we say that anyone can do it and preparing it at home will be quite easy.
And now, let’s get the wine!
Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias Cuvée pairs perfectly with rice, pasta, fish, and white meat. It is an intense and complex wine in the nose; with aromas reminiscent of fennel and fruit tree, complemented by spicy hints. We opted for sushi, but we are sure that you can create numerous different recipes to enjoy our wine. Our recommendation is to serve it at about 7°C.
