As you know, in Cuatro Rayas blog we like to share with you different pairing suggestions so you can enjoy simple and delicious recipes accompanied by a wine that, given its nuances, pairs perfectly with them. In this case, we want to recommend you a classic that never fails: a jamón and fresh tomato pizza. And, to accompany it, we opt for a special wine, one of the only two rosé wine we produce in our winery: Cuatro Rayas Blush Rosé. A smooth, velvety, 100% night-harvested Tempranillo with a soft pink colour that won’t leave you indifferent. Citrus hints and fresh to accompany a Mediterranean recipe full of flavour.
Probably by now you are already cooling a bottle and wondering which ingredients you are going to need to prepare the pizza. To make this simple dish you need:
- Tomato sauce
- Grated cheese
- Serrano ham
- Cherry tomatoes
- Pizza dough
First, knead the dough well to give it the characteristic round shape of this dish.
Once ready, spread the tomato sauce evenly on the dough with a spoon.
When the dough is covered with tomato sauce, put the grated cheese, and on top of it the slices of serrano ham.
It is time to cut the cherry tomatoes and spread them over the pizza; after that, as you expect, add the oregano, the spice that gives that distinctive touch to the pizza.
Put it in a pre-heated oven and leave it for a few minutes until you see it is already golden brown and perfect for eating.
While we wait to get that point, chop the basil leaves, and add them only when you take the pizza out of the oven, so this aromatic plant won’t lose its flavour.
And you’re ready! Now, just pop a bottle of Cuatro Rayas Blush Rosé, pour a glass, and cut a slice of pizza. Tempting, right?
