La Seca, 30 June 2020.- On Wednesday, Bodega Cuatro Rayas held the annual Ordinary General Assembly. After the mandatory social distancing measures implemented last year due to the health crisis forcing them to hold it via videoconference, once again, it took place virtually so they could better maintain health safety. After the uncertainty related to the health crisis, the members of the cooperative located in La Seca—the heart of the Designation of Origin Rueda—welcomed the new fiscal year eagerly and with better prospects. They were also encouraged by the proximity of the end of the pandemic and by substantial projects of great interest, like the launch of Cuatro Rayas Longverdejo Viñedos Centenarios 2020, the spearhead of the ‘Gran Vino de Rueda’ (Great Rueda Wine), the new category this Designation of Origin has introduced for old-vineyard wines, with selected harvest, small winemaking volumes, and mainly focused on haute cuisine. During the meeting, they also shared other winery current topics of interest to the winegrower cooperative members, such as the intent to continue their commitment to digitalisation, the new technologies or the online sale.
