The publication specialized in the wine, oil and distribution sectors in Spain recognizes in the XIV edition of the Mercados del Vino Business Awards the commitment of the cooperative winery with the natural and social environment, protected under the ‘green and social’ seal
La Seca, March 24th de 2021.- The magazine Mercados del Vino y la Distribución – a prestigious economic publication with an important impact on the professional distribution and national market- today celebrated the XIV edición de sus Premios Empresariales, with which it recognizes the work of companies in our country in the fields of production and distribution.
The awards ceremony was held at the Banco Santander Auditorium in Madrid, from where it was broadcast in streaming due to the reduction in capacity due to health restrictions, and was sponsored by said bank, from the Spanish Wine Federation, the Interprofessional of Wine in Spain, Ramondín and the denominations of origin Catalunya, Cava, Rías Baixas, Ribera del Duero and Rioja.
Within the Extraordinary Awards category, Bodega Cuatro Rayas has been awarded the Corporate Social Responsibility Award -which in recent editions has gone to organizations such as Bodegas Familia Torres or Carrefour-, in recognition of their work and commitment to the development of the quality of life of its cooperative members, workers and residents of the rural environment in which it operates, for its active commitment to environmental sustainability and for the effort made during the health crisis to maintain the employment of its more than 80 workers.
Ignacio Martín Obregón -president of the cooperative winery- has collected the award on behalf of Cuatro Rayas and on behalf of the more than 300 winegrowing partners from 30 towns in the provinces of Valladolid and Segovia that make up the cooperative. In his speech, he thanked the organizers and the jury – made up of representatives of the most important institutions and associations in the industry – for presenting this award to Bodega Cuatro Rayas and recalled some of the measures implemented over the last year to Try to adapt to the economic and social context generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and guided by the decision to keep all the jobs in the cooperative winery, as long as possible and despite the fact that the sales situation was not as expected.
