La Seca, June 10, 2020.- The cooperative Bodega Cuatro Rayas presents ‘Green & Social Verdejo’, its most recent elaboration with the reference grape of the DO Rueda, a wine that emphasizes viticultural and social sustainability as a spearhead in a market where the consumer is every day much more demanding. ‘Green & Social Verdejo’ stands out for highlighting environmental and human criteria both in the field, as in its preparation, in packaging and even distribution.

This Verdejo is a true reflection of a winery that represents the livelihood of 383 families in rural areas He, mostly inhabitants of 30 towns between the provinces of Valladolid and Segovia and who works in the effective promotion of equality between women and men in the rural environment . It is a white wine fromorganic farming and certified vegan winemaking. The paper in its box is recycled and the labeling has FSC certified papers. The glass, in addition to being recycled, is light to reduce emissions in its transport. The capsule is aluminum and is free of the usual plastics so it is 100% recyclable. The cap comes from sugar cane with a reduced carbon footprint.

Bodega Cuatro Rayas is also attached to the Code of Good Commercial Practices in Food Contracting of the Government of Spain that promotes improving the functioning of the food chain and aims to achieve greater balance and transparency in commercial relations, improve access to information and traceability throughout the food chain, and regulate practices commercial.
