Cuatro Rayas ‘Vendimia Nocturna’, Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias, Azumbre and Visigodo Viñas Viejas are the Verdejos from Bodega Cuatro Rayas awarded in the winter edition of the international competition
La Seca (Valladolid), March 13, 2019. Bodega Cuatro Rayas wines have been recognized again in the international Berliner Wine Trophy competition. In this edition, the contest has hosted a total of 7,000 wine samples from 41 different countries, reaching 1,426 participants.
Cuatro Rayas reaffirms the quality of its wines made with the native Verdejo variety, receiving four gold medals for Four Stripes ‘Night Vintage’ Made with Verdejo grapes from selected farms. Mechanized night harvest. Powerful and with notes of white fruit and citrus on the nose, fresh and balanced, with character and a delicate fennel finish on the palate.
Four Stripes Forty Vintage grapes from vineyards in glass over 40 years old, in gravelly terrain. On the nose aromas of white fruit and stone fruit appear on a background of aromas of undergrowth, balsamic and fennel notes. In the mouth it has the perfect balance, with a well integrated acidity.
Azum from a selection of old vineyards of the Verdejo variety. Bright lemon yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose it is clean and fresh, with sweet, fruity aromas of stone fruit (apricot), and a background of fennel. Tasty enveloping and unctuous, with hints of fresh fruit, very balanced and long. Visigoth Viñas Viejas pale lemon yellow with greenish tones. On the nose it is intense and clean with a strong aroma of traditional Verdejos, fennel and white fruits. Very well harmonized. On the palate it is fatty and long with a lot of structure and great persistence. It is very sweet at the entrance.
From March 17 to 19, Cuatro Rayas Winery will participate one more year in the most important fair in the sector with a stand located in the space of ICEX , at Hall 10 Stand 10A121 , where he will present the new vintages of his products. In its 25th edition, more than 6,800 exhibitors from 64 countries will be present at ProWein 2019 , an event in which all the most important wine regions in the world will be represented and in which 60,500 professional visitors from 133 countries are expected.
