La Seca (Valladolid), February 28, 2019. The wines from Bodega Cuatro Rayas have been awarded again in the international Mundus Vini competition. In this edition, more than 200 experts from 50 countries have been in charge of tasting the more than 7,000 references from more than 150 wine-growing regions of the world.
Cuatro Rayas confirms once again the quality of its wines made with the native Verdejo variety, receiving 3 gold medals for Four Stripes ‘Night Vintage’ Made with Verdejo grapes from selected farms. Mechanized night harvest. Powerful and with notes of white fruit and citrus on the nose, fresh and balanced, with character and a delicate fennel finish on the palate. Cuatro Rayas Centennial Vineyards , of grapes from vineyards in glass of sandy soils, with an age between 80 and 100 years. Intense on the nose, with floral notes, white flowers, acacia, on a background of ripe fruit. Unctuous on the palate, creamy and enveloping on the palate. Four Stripes Forty Vintage grapes from vineyards in glass over 40 years old, in gravelly terrain. On the nose aromas of white fruit and stone fruit appear on a background of aromas of undergrowth, balsamic and fennel notes. In the mouth it has the perfect balance, with a well integrated acidity.
Silver for Verdejo Cuvée
Four Stripes Forty Vintage Cuvée has been awarded a silver that is added to the awards obtained since its presentation in September 2018, among which are a gold in the International Wine Challenge competition, 95 points in the Berliner Wein Trophy and 92 points in the Peñín Guide between others.
