Toast to the goal – Raúl Pérez, the 200-sided impersonator, toasts with Cuatro Rayas

The comedian, with a great presence on television, shares a ‘Toast to the goal’ with Benjamin with a multitude of imitations: Vicente del Bosque, Joaquín, Florentino Pérez, Mourinho, Josep Pedrerol, Antonio Lobato, Iker Jiménez, ‘Maldini’ …

What better setting for an imitator than the Madrid Wax Museum ( Well, there they toasted ‘the goal’ Raúl Pérez ( (Madrid, 1976), a professional comedian with more than two hundred faces (and voices) and Benjamín Zarandona, a former Real Valladolid footballer. Raúl, a comedian with a great presence on television, his face is not so well known by the general public because, as he himself admits, he always appears characterized by the character he imitates. At the first change, he starts with an imitation of Vicente del Bosque and Joaquín. Let the show begin!

An engineer by profession, he changed his job from ‘teleco’ to comedy. He drank from the New Year’s Eve specials on Tuesday and Thirteen and fed on the humor of the Monty Python, until he made his vocation his way of life. Thus, he remembers with Benjamin his first imitations, with Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, as the protagonist. He links one sketch with another under Benjamin’s laugh, who applauds the spontaneousness of a grown up Raúl. It is the turn of Josep Pedrerol, sports journalist: “Cuatro Rayas, what verdejo, what a flavor, this is indeed a wine.”

Raúl takes every opportunity to take advantage of his loquacity. Brilliant in the short dribble, he perfectly recreates the gestures and expressions of his ‘imitators’. For example, he reads ‘DO Rueda’ on the Cuatro Rayas bottle and immediately parodies Antonio Lobato, a journalist specializing in Formula 1: “Wow Magic Fernando, this Verdejo Cuatro Rayas is incredible, record of the first sector, he enters super well”. And there is more. Keep reading until you come across the identification of “Nocturnal Harvest” on the label and an imitation of Iker Jiménez, journalist of the unknown emerges: “Night harvest, Iker Jiménez would be harvesting this Cuatro Rayas, a wonderful serendipity, being in the fields harvesting the grape and meet a UFO, because the aliens would come here to taste this wonderful wine ”.

Ronaldo and Real Valladolid
Benjamin asks Raúl his opinion on the arrival of Ronaldo as president of Real Valladolid. “Great […] I wish there were more people like that, more ex-footballers or people dedicated to football who see a club and have the opportunity to manage it.” But Raúl cannot contain his grace and, after Benjamin reminded him of the #brindisalgol with Julio Maldonado, in which the sports journalist expert in international football believed that Ronaldo is one of the best strikers in the history of football, Raúl scores a great imitation to ‘Maldini’ himself: “Ronaldo has been one of the best without a doubt, that powerful stride, that snatch … but we are talking a lot about Ronaldo, and we are not also talking about Ronaldo from Kuala Lumpur …”

Toast to the goal
Bodega Cuatro Rayas creates this space within its sponsorship of Real Valladolid. It is a meeting point for lovers of football in general and Real Valladolid in particular. Open, carefree and with the aim of transferring the human side of a sport that fascinates millions of people around the world. Raúl Pérez is Benjamin’s seventh guest, who acts as master of ceremonies. Soon, new public figures will chat with him to reveal his anecdotes and curiosities. Well-known faces from the world of sports, the media, entertainment … Who will be the next to make a ‘toast to the goal’ with Cuatro Rayas?
