The prestigious North American magazine will make official in November the score received by ‘Amador Diez Cuvée 2015’
La Seca (Valladolid), September 2018.- ‘Wine Ethusiast Magazine’, an international wine-growing reference publication, has awarded a score of 90 points out of a hundred to the Verdejo cuvée Amador Diez 2015 from Bodega Cuatro Rayas, thus adding to a long list of awards harvested by this exclusive wine since its commercialization in 2017.
Amador Diez, which takes its name from the person who was president of the winery for 21 years, comes from grapes from the cooperative’s oldest vineyards, specifically from a selection made in the best ten pre-phylloxera hectares with more than 100 years located in Aldeanueva. del Codonal, province of Segovia. It is the most handmade and exclusive product of the Rueda Denomination of Origin and, therefore, of the winery founded in 1935.
Made from grapes harvested by hand and selected with great care, the bottle is now a reality after passing a period of fermentation in new 500-liter French oak barrels, with ‘bâtonnage’ for eight months. It is worth highlighting its elaboration with native yeasts typical of the winery, something unique and apart from the most commercial elaborations known by consumers of the region’s wines.
Wine Enthusiast Magazine, which in November will publish the score of ‘Amador Diez 2015’, is an American magazine specialized in the world of wine, born in New York in 1988 and since then it has been a great asset in the popularization of wine, bringing it closer to the Big audience.
