The main German airline has chosen Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo to accompany its short and medium-haul flights in the ‘business’ and ‘economic’ classes
The ’61 Vermouth Verdejo ‘from the Lasecan winery has also been selected by the Canadian Monopoly to be part of the country’s gastronomic offer.
La Seca, September 2018.- The customers of the ‘Business’ and ‘Economic’ classes of the German company Lufthansa are the first to enjoy in the air one of the most select whites of the DO Rueda, Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo. This award-winning reference has been selected from among hundreds of wines to be part of the airline’s food offer on its flights throughout the European continent.
In this way, one of the most powerful airlines on the international scene values the excellence of Bodega Cuatro Rayas and transfers its brand to people around the world. Deutsche Lufthansa AG, a group based in Cologne, has been considered the largest airline in Europe since 2009, with a market share in Spain of 10% and 130 million passengers transported to all corners of the planet in 2017.
Coming from vines over 40 years old and with ‘bâtonnage’ for five months on its fine lees in deposit, Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo is 100% Verdejo grape. On the nose it is intense and clean with a strong aroma of traditional Verdejos, fennel, low forest, very well harmonized, while on the palate it is fatty and long, with a lot of structure and great persistence, very honeyed on entry. An excellent wine to pair with rice, pasta, fish and white meat, which, since this summer, the millions of people who fly through Europe with Lufthansa already have at their disposal.
’61 Vermouth Verdejo ‘arrives in Canada
The international expansion of Bodega Cuatro Rayas goes far beyond Cuatro Rayas Cuarenta Vendimias Verdejo. ’61 Vermouth Verdejo ‘is also in luck after recently entering the competitive market of Canada, a country with a very restricted food monopoly and that only imports foreign products of the best quality. The ‘vermouth’ of Cuatro Rayas will be present in more than 400 stores of the North American giant, thus becoming the ninth country to have this groundbreaking reference work of the oenologist Roberto L. Tello, after Italy, Belgium, Holland, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. One more success in the curriculum of a reference that has not ceased to garner followers since its launch last year.
